A. Reclaimed brick is brick which has been previously used, and is recycled for re-use. - Q. What is a handmade brick?
A. Reclaimed bricks are usually divided simply into two kinds, Handmade and Machine made. The handmade bricks are more expensive and are typically older and with much more character to them, they have a rough- textured surface and are lighter and softer than machine made brick - Q. What is the size of a reclaimed brick?
A. There are many different sizes of a reclaimed brick the most common depth ranges from 2” to 2 ½” to 2 3/4” to 3”, the common length is usually 8 ½” to 9” long and the width can be anywhere from 4” to 4 ½”. - Q. What bricks do you have on stock?
A. We have over 150,000 bricks on stock, sizes ranging from 2” to 3” depth and all sizes in between. - Q. Where are you based?
A. We are based just north of York, where you can view an extensive range of handmade reclaimed bricks. - Q. Do you deliver?
A. Yes we can deliver the bricks with a wagon with a hiab crane. - Q. Where do you source your reclaimed bricks?

A. Very much so, this contributes to the character of a reclaimed brick. - Q. How do I know how many reclaimed bricks to order.
A. If you are building a new property or large renovation, you will have the use of architect’s drawings and your builder should be able to ascertain the quantity required. . When calculating the dimensions of the brick, the length of a reclaimed brick will usually be 230mm or 9” and the height can vary on the product chosen. Please see our brick calculator page for estimating the number of bricks required. Another factor to take into account when ordering reclaimed bricks is the wastage. We won’t try to convince you that every brick will be perfect and we suggest you make an allowance for 10% wastage. You must however take into consideration that the creased faces, irregular edges and corners on reclaimed bricks do form their character and the overall look and shouldn’t be discarded as wastage. - Q. Do you have a brick matching service?
A. Yes, In the first instance it is advisable to take a photo of your handmade bricks and either e-mail the photo to us and we can then determine as to whether we may be able to match the bricks from our extensive stock range, or if you prefer bring samples of the bricks to our yard near York and compare them with the reclaimed bricks we have on stock. - Q. Do you offer a brick cutting service?
A. Yes we offer a brick cutting service. We can cut slips, soldiers, plinths squints, caps & cants. - Q How are your reclaimed bricks stacked or packaged.
A. Our reclaimed bricks are stacked on pallets usually in amounts of 400 reclaimed bricks. They are also shrink wrapped which helps to keep them secure. - Q. Do you supply reclaimed bricks in York?
